  • What are NaturaLash Eyelash Extensions?

NaturaLash Eyelash Extensions are single synthetic lashes that are attached to each of your individual eyelashes, one at a time, with a minute amount of special long-lasting NaturaLash Black or Clear Adhesive.  If correctly applied, they are practically undetectable to you or anyone else.  They will add length, thickness, and fullness that can’t be achieved with traditional makeup.

  • How long do they last?

Eyelash extensions are on ongoing service. They must be “Refilled” every 2 to 5 weeks depending on many factors including your lifestyle, skin type, etc. At the Refill service, the technician will remove (not trim) any lashes that have grown out or become loose with a special Adhesive Remover.  New extensions will also be applied until the eyelashes are full and complete.  They do require some maintenance and aftercare instructions must be followed for best results.

  • Is it hard to learn and how long do they take to apply?

The technique is not hard to learn but it does take commitment to learn how to do it well. Practice is key! After the workshop, you will probably need to do at least 12 full sets to gain speed and improve your technique before you can charge a full fee. Initially, it will take an inexperienced technician about 3 hours or more to apply a full set. Experienced techs can usually apply sets in about 1 ½ to 2 hours. Your physical limitations, if any, must be considered before taking the class. It can be taxing to sit and work for long periods of time. We offer an exclusive back/posture brace that is very effective in alleviating back strain. Our 2 day training workshop is currently the best way to learn and experience these new skills. We are always improving our products and techniques!

  • How much do I charge?

Many technicians charge a flat fee while others may charge according to the number of lashes applied.  Depending on where you offer the service, a full set typically costs $200 to $350 (up to $600 in certain areas) while touch-ups cost about half that amount.

  • Can the client feel the lashes once they are applied?

If properly applied, almost all clients say they do not feel any different.  Some may feel the slight extra weight but will quickly become accustomed to it.

  • Do I have to be licensed to take the class?

You must have a license as a Cosmetologist, Esthetician, or a healthcare professional such as a R.N. or M.D. working in the industry.

Depending on your state regulations and insurance carrier, licensed makeup artists and Manicurists are also allowed to become certified (note: if you are unsure whether or not your license qualifies (i.e. - permanent makeup, massage therapist), please feel free to give us a call or contact your state department for more information.

  • Do you offer training and certification?

Yes!  We offer certification for licensed cosmetologists, estheticians, makeup artists, and anyone else who is licensed or legally able to provide this service in their state.  We even offer advanced training and refresher courses for those who have already been trained, so that you can keep you up-to-date on the latest techniques.

  • What is the difference between the one day lash extension workshop and the two day lash extension workshop?

The main difference in the two workshops is the amount of supervised hands-on training you receive.  In the one day workshop you will learn everything you need to know about the service (Safety, Sanitation, Product knowledge, Marketing, Consultations, etc.) with about 5-6 hours of hands-on training (practice techniques and live model application).   If you choose the two day workshop, the first day is very similar to the one day class but you will also get an extra full 8 hour day of supervised instruction and application on live models.

AFter either class, you will need to practice on several models until you feel comfortable with your technique.  By participating in two full days of training, the learning curve is dramatically shortened.  We offer both of these classes because we realize that some people just do not have two full days to schedule for a workshop.  If you have the time for the two-day workshop, we highly recommend it.  Many previously trained technicians have taken our 2 day eyelash workshop and were extremely pleased with how much more they learned.

We were the first and still the only lash extension company to offer two full days of training and it's priced competitively at $600 (which is similar or below what most of our competitors charge for a one-day workshop!!).  If you are considering one of these workshops, please don't hesitate to give us a call, or speak to a live representative by clicking below.  We also recommend visiting the Why Choose NaturaLash and Price Comparison pages.

  • What kind of marketing support do you offer?

Your success reflects on our success and that’s why we’re constantly brainstorming for new ideas to increase your business.  In our workshops our instructors will go over the many different ways you can market your new service.  Our instructors have decades of experiences and they love to share how they've grown their businesses.  We also say that quality speaks for itself and eventually word of mouth will grow your business, but we'll definitely go over many creative ways to get you as much business as possible.  In addition to our free website referral program (many companies charge upwards of $100/year for this service), we also offer client brochures, posters, business cards, and life-size stand up displays.  In the near future we will also be offering the services of our graphic design team so that you create custom brochures, post-cards, etc.

  • Do you use medical grade adhesive?

We do offer an excellent new american made, medical grade adhesive. Adhesives, no matter where they are made or how it is marketed, (odorless, formaldehyde free, medical grade, etc.) is not “safe” in the eye! Proper training and technique is critical for safe application.

  • I have heard great things about your products, but I've already been trained by another company.  Can I still purchase NaturaLash products?

We don't feel that you need to be certified by our company to buy our products (some of our instructors were self taught years and years ago!), but you do need to show competence and proficiency in this service.  As part of the qualification procedure, we will need proof of certification (by another company), and/or close up photos of your work to be considered for an interview. We will also send you a questionnaire to fill out. Actual NaturaLash Eyelash Extension Certification Training is required to be listed on our website.

  • What kind of maintenance is required?

We include Aftercare Instructions in our kits (to hand out to clients) that explain the upkeep.  NaturaLash Extensions are worn fairly carefree.  Clients can shower, swim, or spa while wearing them, however, it is important to keep them dry for 48 hours immediately following the application.  Tell clients to avoid rubbing eyes or using products around their eyes that are not specially formulated for NaturaLash Eyelash Extensions, particularly creams containing oils that will cause the extensions to fall off prematurely.

  • Do I need to carry liability insurance?

All beauty professionals should carry liability insurance and we do require our licensed technicians to carry their own liability insurance. (We have a reasonably priced company whose policy specifically covers eyelash extensions and much more.  Contact us for more details.)
